My Teaching philosophy
Introduction

Teaching philosophy is greatly important as it helps and supports students to learn better and enable the teacher to provide something attractive and interesting to students .Here, there are three basic teaching philosophies that are important as learning through play, parental involvement in the school and finally the exploratory learning .Through my years in the Education program, I have developed a teaching philosophy that encompasses the importance of learning by doing and involving parents in their child’s learning journey.

The first philosophy is,” Learning through exploratory play) allows children to have contextualized learning experiences that will allow them to develop a broad range of skills that can be transferred to other parts of their life. Through dealing with the surrounding environment, the child builds a set of concepts concerning reality, as long as the learning outcomes takes from child's experiences with the environment, they will develop their skills such as cognitive, communicating, language. these days teachers use learning through play because it's interesting and creative. Vygotsky believed learning through play can develop Critical Thinking, & Motor Skills, and physical skills, also they can express themselves through activities. (McLeod, Lev Vygotsky, 2018).

The second philosophy is, “Parental Involvement” Parents are the first teachers in the child’s life. School should not be replaced with parents involvement but that should be an extension including home in child’s learning and to be a second learning environment and that through parent’s involvement by their participation in the school actives , classroom events, school meetings and more . That all should be including their communication methods through class dojo program and others as the WhatsApp and that informs parents with what students did, their marks, levels and assignments and that enables parents to comment and follow up their child regularly. I believe that it is my job as a teacher to ensure that parents are involved in school life allowing them to develop their communication, and connections with their /children at home. I have witnessed how children are motivated by parental involvement. The students are motivated and eager to prove to their mum/ and dad of what they can do. According to (Hull, n.d.) "At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents". It's teacher’s responsibility to connect parents to build a relationship to what their child did in the school (communicating) and involved in the school activities and events like reading day, sport day to motivate their child, in my experience when the school involved parents, student’s behavior changed and they were on control. last teaching practice I had difficulties with the parents’ lack of English is sometimes a problem the, head of school facility said we have to send the letter in English, so what I did , I sent a letter with pictures and simple vocabulary. but in the other side the students can understand me, and they can do their task.

The third teaching philosophy is , learning through play “ as what is stated by Judith Turner in her book “Creative Play” says , there is an importance for children to learn through play and that is crucial to the normal development of a child, children learn more through play than by any other means (Genovese., 2018). Play is done in the classroom through activities and here children will do well in case of playing as that makes the information gained in an easier way. For me in the teaching practice, I let students to carry out the activities by themselves in the form of groups and that surely will be effective to students and accelerate their quick learning.

Conclusion

As a teacher I will be professional in planning to get a good result from students, and I have to be careful because I will be a role model for those students. Everything I do and say can affect on them. Besides, I will create appropriate classroom environment because it will influence on students learning in a positive way. For every event, lesson I will make sure to involve parents because parents have a big effect on child's education. As skinner mentioned that parents are the resource power for their child in learning, they can grant him/her creative skills, learning technical skills, develop their behavior, because the teacher can't control the child as a parent (Huerta, 2014).
Finally, I won't be just a teacher, I will be like a sister or their friend, and I will make sure their favorite type of activities, in that way students will learn, also I will make sure all activities will be learning by doing, My first educational theory was Piaget, I learn a lot from him, so learning by doing is my first favorite theory, there are a lot of theories and it has many ideas but Piaget strategies were stuck on my mind. So, learning by doing can keep students engage on the task. Besides, avoiding boring, and issues in teaching. The third teaching philosophy is that students learn through play and that is great for teachers to put in mind and enable students to learn through play (McLeod, Jean Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development, 2018).
